TIPS recently awarded a new nation-wide, multi-year, cooperative online auction services contract for government agencies, universities, school districts and other educational entities.  Any government agency, educational institution, non-profit or quasi-governmental entity may use this contract without having to issue a bids or RFP for these services. Many auctions under this contract are currently posted at LoneStarOnline.

State of Alabama
Unclaimed Property Online Auction Services for the Alabama State Treasurer’s Office

Watch for valuables and other interesting contents of all unclaimed safe deposits from across the state of Alabama.  The first online auctions should begin after the first of the year and include goodies such as jewelry, coins, currency, stamps, estate pieces, sports memorabilia and a wide variety of interesting collectibles and ephemera.

City of Fort Worth
Live and Online Auction Services for Fort Worth Fleet Services and Police Auto Pound Departments

For the seventh consecutive time since 1985, Lone Star has been awarded a five year contract for the sale of surplus fleet vehicles and heavy equipment and police impounded vehicles.  Online auctions of impounded vehicles will be ongoing and will begin immediately.  Fleet surplus will be held in periodic online auctions which should start in the near future.

Online & Live Auction Services for the Texas Facilities Commission State Surplus Property Program

Also for the seventh consecutive time since 1988, Lone Star has been awarded the auction services contract for the Texas Facilities Commission which oversees, manages and sells cars, trucks, boats, heavy equipment, furniture, fixtures and equipment for Texas agencies such as TxDOT, DPS, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and numerous other state agencies.
